How Did A Baby Mediterranean Gecko Get In My Bathroom?

4.5 rating based on 105 ratings

There are gecko-themed toilets. Literally painted on the actual toilet seat and bowl. As much as it sucks I think I would rather they be in the toilet than actually running rampant in my house. I am a toilet checker expert – I always look before I pee – ever since I found a scorpion floating in my toilet as a teen.

I just don’t see myself killing a little baby Gecko or any Gecko for that matter. She lost her shit and started yelling spraying all sorts of chemicals and throwing stuff all over the bathroom. I removed myself from the situation as I tried to explain that even to a new born baby a little Gecko poses absolutely no threat. She wasn’t having it.

Parasites can infect your Mediterranean House Gecko through contact with bad food. Your gecko will seem lethargic or will vomit frequently. Respiratory infections can sometimes occur because of incorrect temperature or humidity in their enclosure. This is characterized by lethargy, loss of appetite, or open-mouth breathing.

Ideally, humidity should be maintained between 50-70 percent to ensure that lizards are hydrated and shed their skin properly. Daily misting of the tank helps to keep humidity adequate. Most gecko species are nocturnal in the wild, being active at night, so they are not exposed to a great deal of sunlight.

15 cm. The Mediterranean house gecko is a small lizard native to the Mediterranean region which has spread to many parts of the world. It is commonly referred to as the Turkish gecko as represented in its Latin name and also as the moon lizard because it emerges in the evening.
