Can You Use Landscape Fabric For French Drain?

4.5 rating based on 105 ratings

jeff_al. 6 years ago. i prefer subsurface drain to french drain but they both describe the same solution to a drainage problem. i also suggest using non-woven geotextile instead of landscape fabric for its better drainage handling and filtering qualities. do not use woven geotextile as it is manufactured for its strength as an underlayment rather than filtering qualities.
