Earthen Pathways is a landscape design consultancy founded by Adrian de Montfort based in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. The practice is founded on principles of design excellence and attention to detail, informed by a sound knowledge of the characteristics and qualities of materials and plants.

Adrian’s commissioned work ranges from small outdoor rooms to large estates and commercial projects. Adrian has recently designed a heritage park gardens in the Annapolis Valley a park for a community project on Long Island and a Japanese courtyard garden for a Provincial Hospital.
Adrian specializes in designing: English Cottage Gardens using perennials that suit the Maritime climate while emulating the classic English style Japanese themed gardens using specially selected plants and hardscape materials to create a low maintenance and sympathetic garden which imparts restrained Japanese elegance.
Ornamental Grass Gardens, low maintenance gardens which provide structure, colour and interest all year round

Plants can be sourced and recommended by Earthen Pathways and will come from local nurseries and suitable for our Maritime climate.
